Tomorrow is Father's Day and I will be celebrating one of the most amazing Dad's on the planet...my Husband. I don't know that words could ever do justice to what my heart sees when I watch him with our Daughter. How loving, caring and supportive he is with her and how he genuinely tries to be the absolute best Dad there is. No, he's not one to spoil her (too much), but you can always see him soften even in those moments when she's being so out of hand that we can literally feel our hair turn gray.
I'm very Blessed to have chosen such an all around terrific and stand up Man for her to pattern her future suitors after. She won't ever have to believe that it's ok for a guy to hit her, cheat on her, scream in her face or treat her like dirt. If she does what most women do - find a guy like dear old Dad - then she will end up with an amazing Husband that will melt her heart as her Dad does mine.
Her children will have an awesome Dad who will even after a long day at work, take their children by the hand and walk them around the block just because they want to push their little dolly stroller, a Dad who will read them stories, carry their kids to bed, put their Daughter's hair in ponytails, dress them in pretty dresses and one who will climb, run and play ball with and teach them that they have no limitations to the things they can do. Her choice in a partner will be a Partner to her and her children and he will handle the position with the utmost care, patience and love.
HAPPY FATHER'S DAY, CHAD! Thank you for being the Perfect Man for me and for our Daughter.
